The Summer Vet Program is a student’s ticket to the world of veterinary medicine. For students who are serious about becoming a veterinarian, this is a super opportunity to look into the real and sometimes gritty field of veterinary medicine. Through presentation, demonstrations, laboratory visits, and hands-on activities, students discover what modern veterinary medicine is about. Some of the activities of the program include:
Participants meet professors, practitioners and students in the discipline and have ample opportunity to talk with them. Last year’s schedule can be viewed here. Additional information about CSU’s professional veterinary medicine program can be found on the CVBMS website.
The 2017 Summer Vet Program will take place June 19 – 23, 2017 from 12:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Colorado State University. It is highly encouraged that students combine this experience with the SciTrek Program for a full day of science-based activities.
Applications for summer 2017 are closed. Selected students will be notified by March 1st.
If you would like to be added to our contact list for summer 2018, please submit the student’s name and current grade level to our database. For questions and program inquiries, please contact the program coordinator, Courtney Butler at email@example.com.
